PHP 7.1 is currently on life support, as in only recieving security related patches. This will only continue until: 2019-12-01 This date are in the middle of the 19.09 lifecycle. So it would be nice to not have it in the 19.09 stable release. Dropping it now would also result in less maintanance in updating them. To build the manual, you need Nix installed on your system (no need
for NixOS). To install Nix, follow the instructions at
https://nixos.org/nix/download.html
When you have Nix on your system, in the root directory of the project
(i.e., `nixpkgs`), run:
nix-build nixos/release.nix -A manual.x86_64-linux
When this command successfully finishes, it will tell you where the
manual got generated.
