This makes sure the user doesn't have to call `UpdateRemotePlugins`
manually for plugins installed through nix. A minor patch to neovim is
necessary, but it should be harmless. See
https://github.com/neovim/neovim/issues/9413 for a discussion about
the patch.
This also covers "androidStudioPackages.preview".
I believe that the name is confusing (is it from the beta or dev/canary
channel?) and with this error message it should be obvious how to update
ones configuration.
The old name "android-studio-preview" was a bit misleading while
"android-studio-beta" should clearly reflect that this is from the beta
channel. I hope that this does not break any workflows but since
"android-studio-preview" was most likely not called from any scripts the
risk should be low (also: most people probably use the stable version
anyway).
Tramp checks for a running `gvfsd-fuse` process to figure out whether to enable
gvfs-based. Its `tramp-compat-process-running-p` function uses
`/proc/<pid>/comm` to check for the name of running process(es). In Nix, the
gvfsd processes are launched via wrappers and the name of `gvfsd-fuse` in
`comm` in Linux is `.gvfsd-fuse-wra` (truncated to 15 characters) which
means the process is not detected and `tramp-gvfs-enabled` ends up with
`nil` even when gvfs is available.
This patch adds `.gvfsd-fuse-wrapped` to the list of process names to check when
determining the value of `tramp-gvfs-enabled`.
This makes it possible to swap out the (wrapped) neovim without
recompiling neovim-qt. In particular, the user can use `neovim.override`
to configure their neovim and then use that same configuration for
neovim-qt, without having to give up binary caching.
* pkgs/applications/editors/emacs/site-start.el (tramp-sh): Use
correct feature name
Tramp upstream recently dropped the autoload cookie from
tramp-remote-path. This makes Emacs error when trying to load tramp.
Using the correct feature name fixes this.
Prior to this commit the application launchers of Atom and Atom Beta executed `/usr/bin/${pname}` instead of what it is meant to `$out/bin/${pname}`. This is because upstream changed the `Exec=` line from `Exec=/usr/share/${pname}/${pname}` to `Exec=/usr/bin/${pname}` and the `substituteInPlace` line that was in the default.nix file was not appropriately adjusted.
* kakoune: Prefix version with 'v' (#50617)
Turns out there's some tooling parsing the version number and having a
'v' prefix works better in that case.
I tested that it builds & works fine on NixOS.
See: https://github.com/ul/kak-lsp/issues/99
* Override 'version' env variable
Also remove incorrect emacs25Macport alias.
